"This carpet padding is amazing!"

I decided to purchase this padding even though it was a little more money. I am glad I did everyone that walks on the carpet talks about how great it feels and they say it is so comfortable they could sleep on the floor. The padding is like memory foam and I am truly amazed as to the difference between the other padding and this kind of padding. Not only is it antimicrobial and comfortable it will actually help your carpet last longer! So the initial purchase might be a lil more, In the longer run I get a few more years out of my carpet! Now that padding is worth it to me and I would never recommend anything different.

"For area rugs and hardwood floors, this is the way to go."

We have hand-knotted rugs on our new wood floor, so I was looking for padding that would protect them both. We live at the seashore, about 30 yards from the ocean, so humidity is an issue for us. At first I went with a felt pad that sat on top of rubber. The smell was unbearable. I sent that padding back. Then, I tried Healthier Choice and Voilà - a lovely cushion, protection for my floor, and no noticeable fumes. Free shipping absolutely sealed the deal on this.

The roll is heavy, someone will have to help you get it anywhere, but it was easy to cut and works like a dream. No VOC's was also a BIG consideration in making this my choice of padding.

I special ordered the 1/2" (white) Healthier Choice padding for my upstairs game-room and bedrooms (850 sq. ft.). All I can say is WOW!!! I walked on the padding before the carpet was installed and as I walked on it you could see my footprint impression in the padding as I walked, just like memory foam. The padding is very very plush and now it is so quite when you walk you can barely hear someone walking on the second floor, and the carpet has not even been installed yet. The padding is so plush it reminds me of walking on a trampoline. I HIGHLY recommend this padding it you want a quite second story and a very plush feeling as you walk on your carpet.

This is excellent padding, but could be thicker!"

The price was a deciding factor with the purchase of this padding. It is a very dense padding but 7/16 would be better as long as it had a comparable price. Even though it is only 3/8 thick it feels great to walk on. We installed it in a rec room over a concrete floor. The installer was impressed with it. I have used a similar padding that was no longer available from another source and after 5 years it has held up as if it was still new. I will only use this type of padding over the recycled trash that is out there.

I special ordered this pad for a wall to wall install by Home Depot. They no longer carry any type of quality padding in their carpet department. This padding has a wonderful feel under foot, not too soft and definitely firm enough to support high quality carpeting (I bought the best nylon they had 60lb face weight) also pad is anti microbial and fluffs back up after furniture is moved because it is memory foam. They also did a wonderful job on the install of carpet &padding and allowed me to use this pad as part of my install because it was purchased from the depot. I had to have it on site and ready for the day of install.

"Only pad you will NEVER have to replace"!

We went out of our way to find this pad years ago, when it was new on the market. We had the pad installed in a basement home theatre room. The installer told us we might replace the carpet someday, but we would NEVER need to replace the pad...it's just that good! Immediately, I noticed that there was no longer a "chill" from the underlying concrete floor. What really made me a believer, was after the room was totally flooded with rainwater. We got to work suctioning the water, and drying with fans and dehumidifiers. There was no odor, and the carpet still looks like the day it was installed!

Great padding!

This is the 2nd purchase of this padding. Please do go out of your way to purchase this product. Depot will install and give warranty if you have on site for your install. They previously offered this in their carpet department but now all they have is lower level/low LB weight pads. You have to order this and have ready for install day. This pad comes in different heights, hence the different color options. Check your overall height incl. carpet...Buy this you won't be disappointed. I have 1500 sf installed under carpet.

"Love this carpet pad!"

When my Home Depot installer arrived, he said, "You bought the BEST carpet pad." It really feels good underfoot, especially noticeable on the stairs. Our previous pad was a top of the line rubber pad, and this one feels better. I like that it has no odors, but the glue used with the carpet wiped out that advantage for the first few days.
